Representations of Czech and Slovak Cultural Identity in Contemporary Film and Comics
Original language description
Films and comics are closely related to each other not only through film adaptations of famous comic books but especially through the main concept of both - telling us stories through sequences of images. These forms of storytelling became enormously popular among the masses and flooded our lives with visual images, which became a part of our life experiences. However, there is a question that we have to ask ourselves - are we really able to "read" and understand these "pictures"?
