DIDACTIC MATHEMATICAL GAMES IN DIFFERENT ROLES

  • Original language description

How and why use didactic games? Do we know their effectiveness? The game generally supports the development of pupils' abilities. Special didactic games can enlarge the complex of knowledge, can stimulate the evolution of personal characteristics, can change the approaches and the social atmosphere. These influences can be positive if we use the game in the teaching process. Mathematics is based on rational reasoning, each decision must be accompanied by arguments, proofs. The negative character of thegame in school mathematics is its independence - it means that the process of playing is interpreted by players as something "it is unreal, it is just a game".
