This project "Science and Media" is focused on the efficiency of understanding media information. It is divided into two smaller units. During the first one, the pupils are brought up to date via newspaper articles with the Red Queen Hypothesis and the meaning of the human sexuality from the evolutionary point of view. The following part is supported by short audio and video illustrations and shows the gist of human instincts. This short-time project enhances the cross-curricular links since the biologyis interfaced with the media education here. It is suitable for pupils attending a standard secondary school ranging from the 6th thru 9th grades. During this project the pupils worked individually as well as in groups. They filled in short test which the results showed the level of their understanding of mediated information.
