    The international conference YOUTH AND CITIZENSHIP: BUILDING EUROPEAN VALUES IN THE TIME OF COVID-19 was organized within a prestigious international project implemented by The Faculty of Education at Charles University, in cooperation with partner organisation Children&apos;s Identity Citizenship European Association (CiCea). Its aim was to stimulate an open discussion about the key concepts (such as populism, discrimination, social exclusion etc.) on which the core concepts of the international project are based - European values and Global responsibility. Another aim of the conference was to provide space for group work to map the basic concept of the project - European values - through selected challenges such as global responsibility, digital and virtual citizenship, populism, European citizenship and history, marginalized European citizens. The keynote speaker of the conference is Dr. Ondrej Lansky, Head of Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy, with a keynote lecture on the topic &quot;Social Cohesion and Populism: Selected Topics in Civics for the 21st Century&quot;. Panelists are Prof. Bryony Hoskins (UK), University of Roehampton, UNESCO and Council of Europe, Dr. Dan Moxon (UK), director of People, dialogue change, and Sandra Rizzo (UK), research manager of Growing Up under Covid-19 project. The professional public is invited to take a part in the public part of the conference.
