Chapter is devoted to world sport''s history. Deals with the development of sport in Central and Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20 century. It focuses on the development of modern sport in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, Poland and Hungary, i.e. in countries where the sport has played an important role in national emancipation. Even after the Second World War sport in these countries had a similar fate. Czechoslovakia, Poland and Hungary became a satellite of the Soviet Union and the sport was built under the supervision of the Communist Party and secret police. His organizational forms were created after the model of the Soviet Union.
