THE RELIABILITY OF ISOKINETIC SHOULDER STRENGTH TESTING IN REGARD TO GENDER
Original language description
The aim of the study was to compare the reliability of isokinetic shoulder strength testing in regard to gender. Sixteen athletes (8 males, 8 females) were measured on the Cybex Humac Norm dynamometer. Concentric strength was measured in 60o/s (2 rep.) and 120o/s (8 rep.). The movement consisted of flexion and extension in the left and right shoulder joints. The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) ranged from 0.79-0.98 for males and 0.67-0.99 for females. The results confirmed high reliability forthe specific shoulder isokinetic strength test. Differences in reliability between males and females were not found.
