This paper discusses the topic of instrumentality in competitive sport. It explores two kinds of instrumentality in sports (internal and external instrumentality) and discusses their consequences on the athletes and their performance. Instrumentality insport influences mainly the quality of sport performance from the point of view of the quality of movement and from ethical point of view.
