Original language description
The presence of chronic back pain is a common health problem which leads to many factors that reduce patients' quality of life and have serious economic impact on society. Numerous epidemiological studies have analyzed related data. For example, Palmer (2000) stated that 49% of the population of Great Britain suffered back pain that lasted for at least 24 hours once a year. According to Burton (2006) 80% of the population in developed countries suffered back pain at least once in their lives. The highest rate of occurrence was among people between the ages of 35 and 55.
