Original language description
This chapter argues the case for the centrality of a values analysis for a description of what sport is, and for the importance of a philosophical anthropology. It further argues for the isomorphism of liberal values in both ethics and politics, and for Olympism as a philosophy of sport, indicating the route to a philosophical theory of Olympic universalism, and providing a defence of multiculturalist politics.
