Expert judgment in skill assessment via observa tional methods ca n introduce bias based on the evalua tor. In the field of ice hockey, the development of sta nda rds rooted in scientifically derived tests rema ins a challenge. Hence, this study a ims to define precise sta nda rds for ice hockey players aged from 6 to 15 yea rs. Given the diverse skill set required in ice hockey, our work focuses on one of the basic skills - puck control. Employing Rasch a nd Mokken a nal-yses, we designed a n assessment tool in the form of a Guttma n scale, ra nking item difficulty, to evalua te puck control a bilities of ice hockey players. This paper delinea tes the sta nda rds for puck control in ice hockey, specifically for players aged from 6 to 15 yea rs in the Czech Republic, ra ted on a scale from 1 to 17. The sta nda rds have been ta ilored for cohorts of play-ers aged between 6 a nd 7 yea rs, between 8 a nd 9 yea rs, between 10 a nd 11 yea rs, between 12 a nd 13 yea rs, a nd between 14 a nd 15 yea rs. The sta nda rds a re set to 0, 2, 4, 6, a nd 9 items, respectively.
