The obituary of the historian and scientific literature translator Frederick L. Snider (1941-2005) summing up his life work. The American historian F. Snider obtained his doctorate at Charles University in Prague. In Czech Republic he was teaching English language and translating specialized studies to English (works of J. Polišenský, History of Charles University I-II). He also cooperated with the review Acta Comeniana.

Nekrolog historika a překladatele odborné literatury do angličtiny. Fredericka L. Snidera (1941-2005) shrnuje jeho životní dílo. Americký historik F. Snider získal doktorský titul na pražské Univerzitě Karlově. Jeho badatelský zájem byl věnován předevšímčeské šlechtě 17. století. V České republice vyučoval angličtinu a překládal do angličtiny odborné studie (práce J. Polišenského, History of Charles University I-II a také spolupracoval s dobrnou revue Acta Comeniana.
