Original language description
The purpose of this paper is to present the economic estimates of health costs associated with air pollution in the Czech Republic and compare these results with available values calculated in the UK and Poland. The methodology used to assess the healthcosts for the Czech Republic is based on willingness to pay (WTP) for the reduction of pollution-induced cardiovascular and respiratory illnesses. Difficulties and limits which a researcher as well as a respondent face during the questioning will be discussed after the presentation of estimated values of human health and life gained from a questionnaire survey on the Czech population

Czech description
V příspěvku jsou představeny ekonomické odhady nákladů na zdraví spojené se znečištěním ovzduší vČR. Odhady jsou porovnány sdostupnými výsledky pro Velkou Británii a Polsko. Kodhadu nákladů na zdraví je použita metoda ochoty platit (WTP) za snížení výskytu kardiovaskulárních a respiračních onemocnění, kniž přispívá znečištění ovzduší. Na základě šetření na české populaci jsou diskutovány obtíže snimiž se setkává výzkumník stejně jako respondent během dotazování.
