The chapter analyses the economic efficiency and legal feasibility of various economic instruments for regulation of the growing road freight transport in the Czech Republic and its negative health and environmental impacts. In our analysis, we focus onthe following economic instruments: road tolls, vignettes, vehicle taxes, fuel taxes, and supportive measures. Because of its environmental effects, we also take into account the Austrian "ecopoint" system.

Kapitola se zabývá ekonomickou efektivností a právní proveditelností různých ekonomických nástrojů k regulaci nárůstu silniční nákladní dopravy v České republice a jejich negativních dopadů na zdraví a životní prostředí. Analyzovány jsou následující ekonomické nástroje - silniční mýtné, časový poplatek, daně z vozidel, daně z pohonných hmot a veřejné podpory. S ohledem na významný environmentální efekt je také zahrnut rakouský systém ekobodů.
