The influence of exercise on baroreflex sensitivity and 0.1 Hz variability in circulation.
Original language description
Correlation between baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) and the component of spectrum and a frequency of 0.1 Hz of inter-beat intervals (IBI) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) was studied in 38 subjects at rest and during exercise. BRS was determined by 5 techniques: sequence method, complex demodulation, alpha index, LP model, and wavelet technique. BRS damps blood pressure variability at the frequency of 0.1 Hz by changes by IBI. During exercise when BRS is low changes of IBI are not high enough to damp blood pressure variability.
