Primary objective: To assess the criterion and construct validity and interrater reliability of the Czech version of the Mississippi Aphasia Screening Test (MASTcz). Research design: Prospective evaluation of consecutive inpatients admitted to the strokeunit of a university hospital within 60 days of onset of a unilateral left hemispheric ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke with documented aphasia (LHA+; n=149). As control groups, unilateral right hemisphere stroke patients without aphasia (RHA-; n=45) and healthy volunteers recruited from the community to comprise a non-patient control group (CG; n=243) were examined. Methods: Data collection included administration of MASTcz (in 52 LHA+ patients, repeated by two blinded observers within 24 hours), Edinburgh inventory, Minimental State Examination score, and chart review. Standardizace české verze the Mississippi Aphasia Screening Test (MASTcz) u pacientů s akutní cévní mozkovou příhodu a v kontrolní skupině

Czech description

Cílem bylo zhodnocení valitidy a reliabilita české verze screeningového diagnostického testu afázií - the Mississippi Aphasia Screening Test (MASTcz). Prospektivně jsme hodnotili následné nemocné přijaté na iktovou jednotku univerzitní nemocnice během 60dní od vzniku ischemické nebo hemoragické cévní mozkové příhody v levé hemisféře, manifestující se afázií (LHA+; n=149). Jako kontrolní skupinu jsme vyšetřili nemocné s iktem v pravé hemisféře bez afázie (RHA-; n=45) a dále zdravé dobrovolníky, kteří vytvořili nepacientskou kontrolní skupinu (CG; n=243). Metodika: U všech skupin byl zhodnocen MASTcz (u 52 LHA+ nemocných byl test opakován během 24 hodin), Edinburghský test laterality, Minimental State Examination skóre a demografická data. Přítomnost afázie byla dokumentována standardním logopedickým vyšetřením (jako zlatý standard) a dále pomocí Western Aphasia Battery (WAB) u 45 LHA+ pacientů.
