Parameters of oxidative stress predicting outcome of oncotherapy for squamous cell carcinoma of oral cavity and oropharynx

  • Original language description

The aim of the study was to investigate plasmatic level of malondialdehyde (MDA) as a marker of exposure of a cell to oxidative stress in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of oral cavity and oropharynx. Specifically, to clarify the prognostic role of MDA asa plasma-based molecular oncomarker. MDA seems very promising diagnostic oncomarker for SCC of oral cavity and oropharynx. Very low cost of its estimation could make it versatile and easy to use diagnostic tool for identification of patients with high risk of recurrence.
