Mead load on General Nurses
Original language description
The objective of our survey was to describe and analyze working mental load of nurses working in standard in-patient wards of medical facilities. Methods: The target group of the questionnaire survey included nurses working in standard hospital wards ofinternal or surgical type who have had practice at least one year or more. In order to provide the necessary data a Meister standardized questionnaire assessing mental challenge at work was used. Results: In particular items, nurses assessed negatively the pressure they are exposed to and mental severity of their occupation in long-term perspective with regard to their performance. Evaluation of the particular factors of overstress, monotonous work, psychical stress did not exceed the critical values which would indicate excessive mental load.
