Training clinical trial teams of the future: open online teaching programs
Original language description
Clinical trials are an indispensable prerequisite for bringing a new drug into clinical practice. In recent years, we have witnessed an accelerated transformation of the landscape of clinical trials, including the so-called investigator-initiated trials (IIT). The importance of IIT is rising even more with the expansion of precision medicine and the complexity of healthcare. Similarly, there is an increasing need for doctors to interpret and deliver new research, and the importance of academic research is recognized by undergraduate medical students. Thus, the lack of adequate education and training in clinical researchand the increasing demand for competent professionals, on the other hand, have made it necessary to build efficient curricula to train clinical researchers of the future.
