Prof. Bohumil Fišer was Head of the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno in the years 1995-2008, Minister of Health of the Czech Republic in 2000-2002, Member of Executive Committee of WHO in 2003-2008. He was a highly regarded scientist of worldwide renown in the field of normal and pathological physiology and a successful organizer in health service, as it was described in the publications by Professor Franz Halberg et al. in World Heart Journal in 2011.
