Stability of thymol self-emulsifying chitosan pellets for the potential treatment of intestinal mucosa
Original language description
The aim of the presented experimental study was to determine the stability of the Eugragit®L-coated chitosan/ Neusilin®US2 pellets containing thymol SEDDS. The first results confirmed the stability of uncoated self-emulsifying pellets with thymol in a half-year stability study in both storage conditions. On the contrary, the enteric-coated pellet formulation was stable only in the condition 25 °C/ 60 RH. Moreover, a mild deterioration of dissolution characteristics was reported.
