The research studies a particular theme of a project supported by Czech Grant Agency (No. 406/02/1040). The study aimed to model value orientation typology suitable relevant to contemporary adolescents and to investigate if value orientation relates to the level of life satisfaction. Based on the cluster analysis, four consistent value groups of girls and boys were identified. Particular types do not differ in the level of life satisfaction. Indirectly, the results support the presumption that life satisfaction relates to goals accomplishment and value fulfillment within the certain cultural context, not to their content their value orientation types. Furthermore, the subscription informs briefly about the relation between value orientation and chosenpersonality characteristics.

Životní spokojenost adolescentů ve vztahu k jejich hodnotovým orientacím

Czech description

Studie se zabývá jedním z dílčích témat grantového projektu podporovaného GA ČR (č. 406/02/1040). Cílem studie bylo vytvořit typologii hodnotových orientací současných adolescentů a prozkoumat vztahy mezi typy hodnotové orientace a úrovní životní spokojenosti. Na základě shlukové analýzy hodnotových preferencí byly identifikovány čtyři konzistentně se vyskytující skupiny dívek a chlapců. Tyto typy se nelišily v úrovni životní spokojenosti. Výsledky tak nepřímo potvrzují předpoklad, že životní spokojenost souvisí spíše s naplněním cílů a hodnot než s obsahem těchto hodnot. Příspěvek navíc ve stručnosti předkládá také zjištění o vztahu mezi hodnotovými orientacemi a vybranými osobnostními charakteristikami.
