Word order of the conditional auxiliary in the Czech language of the Baroque period
Original language description
The paper is based on data gained from my private corpus of Czech Baroque prints (or representative parts of these prints in some cases) that were printed in the period between 1650 and 1750. The corpus represents different genres, as well as different styles of the Czech language of this period. The goal of the paper is to analyze possible word-order positions of conditional auxiliary forms of the Czech verb býti in Czech Baroque texts. These forms are traditionally considered to be enclitic.
