The Collected Works and Commissioned Biography of Edward Perry Warren, Volume 2
Original language description
Despite his immense cultural significance for American art collecting, Edward Perry Warren (1860-1928) is little known as an author. He is remembered as the leading connoisseur and collector of Graeco-Roman antiquities of his period, as well as a wealthypatron who, along with his lover John Marshall, formed and maintained the homoerotic "Lewes House Brotherhood." However, under his pseudonym Arthur Lyon Raile he also became the chief paederastic apologist in the language. This two-volume "Collected Works" provides scholarly editions of E. P. Warren's works (all, save one, never before re-issued), augmented by a biographical introduction, extensive notes, translations, illustrations, and appendices.
