    The aim of the paper is to interpret the non-traditional depictions of the Holy Trinity in Slovak medieval art by analyzling the artistic, cult, historical and social aspects of the issue. The peculiar formal rendition of these paintings is explained byrefering to their specific significance related to the contemporary Christian piety, as well as to certain socio-historical circumstances.
