The 2nd international conference of Japanese Studies "Iaponica Brunensia 2017" presented 14 papers by 14 scholars of Japanese Studies, linguistics and anthropology, who came from the Czech republic and Japan. The topic of the conference was "Japan: Place and Space" and the papers presented covered such areas of Japanese Studies as Japanese linguistics, Japanese literature, Japanese history and religions, Japanese theatre etc. The keynote speaker was Yoshihisa Nakamura (professor emeritus) of the Kanazawa University.
