Cross-linguistic compositional semantics for numerals
Original language description
In this paper, I investigate different types of cardinal numerals as well as derivationally complex numerical expressions cross-linguistically. I draw parallels between classifier and non-classifiers languages and propose a unified compositional mechanism allowing to derive the meaning of different types of numerals and numerical expressions in typologically distinct languages.
