The theme of this paper focus on one part of diplomatic career of František Karel Libštejnský z Kolovrat (1620 - 1700). František Karel as a diplomat in the services of the sovereign took part in many diplomatic missions. This paper will focus on one mission – the handover of the Kladsko Country to the heir of the throne Ferdinand IV. This was the first mission for František Karel and started his diplomatic and political career.
