Original language description
This paper focuses on the meaning hidden behind Roman names and the changes in them connected to the Roman citizenship. In the first part of the paper the general meaning of roman names and their parts will be discussed. The second part of the paper offers the look at the future research into the names taken by barbarians and the possible connection to the Roman citizenship. The new methods of the research will be mentioned, including prosopography.
