Christian’s Latin Herbarium from the end of the 14th century was the first of its genre to be compiled in medieval Bohemia. In the chapter, Christian’s compiling technique used in his herbal, as well as ways of adapting his herbal to the popularizing vernacular medical collections of the 15th century, are discussed.
