L'articolo tratta due poesie di Giuseppe Ungaretti, una in lingua italiana (In memoria) e una in francese (Roman cinéma), scaturite dallo stesso fatto: il suicidio di un vecchio amico del poeta, Mohammed Sceab, poeta anch'egli, che distrusse tutte le sue opere prima di togliersi la vita. Verrà effettuata una lettura stereoscopica delle due poesie, tenendo conto sia del contesto biografico sia degli elementi testuali.
