Original language description
The chapter focuses on a special group of loanwords in ritual Buddhist texts in Mongolian and other Central Asian languages. Typological criterion of borrowed initial "l-" is applied on an analysis of functionally similar word in Tocharian. Synthesis compares development of Buddhist and other borrowed terms in classical texts and their quite unusual interferences with proper names in modern Altaic languages.
