Original language description

This paper is trying to examine the problem of a conflict of obligations of member states of the European Community stemming from Community law on one hand and obligations stemming from other international agreements and treaties it is a party to on theother. The most difficult question to answer here is the one whether Community law prevails international law or vice-versa. Some major decisions of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) regarding the conflict of international obligations of the member states and their duty of sincere co-operation are presented to give the rough idea of the attitude of the ECJ to the conflict of these two duties.
