There are some theoretical arguments for acting against predatory pricing. Important particular issues (such as cost of the dominant firm, its predatory intention, compensation of losses, loss of consumers, price self-defence, prices in Hi-Tech industries) are to be considered. Ex post price regulation is preferable to ex ante price regulation whose costs might be tremendous.

Existuje řada důvodů, proč potírat kořistnické ceny. Musí se přitom zvážit některé zvláštní okolnosti (jako jsou zejm. náklady dominanta, jeho predátorský záměr, kompenzace ztrát, ztráta na straně spotřebitele, sebeobranná reakce prostřednictvím nízké ceny, ceny v technologicky vyspělých odvětvích). Následná cenová regulace je vhodnější, než apriorní cenová regulace, jejíž náklady mohou být obrovské.
