The topic of the presented essay is the issue of evidence in the Czech Republic and it is aimed at making the readers familiar with this issue in basic and general context. Within its framework, I shall in particular point out how the said term may be defined and what basic principles of criminal proceedings are applied within such term. I shall also mention the purpose and subject of evidence, the extent in which the evidence should be produced and what can and on the contrary cannot serve as evidence.In conclusion, I shall present a generally summary of the topic.
