Mind Palace in Legal Argumentation
Original language description
This paper serves as an invitation to consider the possible usefulness of one psychological pattern developed in literary fiction. It is an idea of mind palace ? intentionally created memory storage or more precisely ? highly organized and systematized memory storage. As many studies throughout ages show ? memories are a basis for practically everything we people do, decision-making and argumentation in legal disciplines notwithstanding. Understanding or even being aware of what actually influences thedecision-making process and learn how to organize and affect it by ourselves can help in legal education as well as in a day-to-day practice. Although this paper doesn?t come up with any new revolutionary theory that would change everything, or any specific legal analysis, it could add another point of view to legal argumentation through literary fiction, psychology and modern neuroscience.
