The paper deals with legal regulation of proceedings before conciliation commissions as the alternative way to resolve an individual labor dispute in the Republic of Poland. It focuses mainly on legal regulation of establishment and functioning of the commission and on regulation of the conciliation procedure with its most desirable result – binding agreement between the Employer and the Employee on the subject of their dispute. The aim of this paper is to acquaint Czech experts with legal regulation of proceedings before conciliation commissions in Poland and thus to contribute to the debate about development of legislation in the area of alternative individual labor dispute solution in the Czech Republic.
