Czech Constitutional Court on conflict of interest: glancing at EU law?
Original language description
After three years of waiting, the Czech Constitutional Court rejected a petition proposing the annulment of several provisions of the Act on Conflict of Interest. The judgement is worth noting not only for its rich argumen- tation regarding conflict of interest, the role of the media in a democratic society, and the principle of separation of powers, but also for its use of the EU law perspective for an abstract review of the statute in question.
