Original language description
Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is one of the most important and effective preventive tools for the environmental protection. The presented paper focuses on the EIA and its link to the Green Deal. Attention is also focused on the principles of environmental protection in relation to the EIA, legal base of the EU legislation and the EU requirements in the EIA procedure including relevant CJEU case law. The following part of the paper focuses on the analysis of the Czech legislation (with emphasis on the legal form of environmental impact assessment, purpose and a scope of assessment) and an analysis of the assessment of the effects of agricultural projects with a focus on projects for cattle together with a selected case study of one of the projects.
