This contribution deals with the close connection and importance of criminalistics and its relationship to criminal procedural law and related matters of proving. Therefore, it is considered whether the law enforcement authorities proceedings (police authority, public prosecutor, court) should have, respectively they have knowledge of criminalistics and to what scope. For this reason, contribution is looking for answer to the question of whether so criminalistics should be in the course of teaching faculties of law in the Czech Republic within the study program subject mandatory or optional and also on how to staff provide forensic education.
