Letters of Credit and its Regulation from the Perspectives of the Legal Order of the Czech Republic
Original language description
Soft law is an integral part of legal regulation in the field of international trade. This also applies to the area of payments, or means of payment, represented in particular by documentary collections and documentary letters of credit. The activities of the International Chamber of Commerce here have had extraordinary results in the direction of non-state unification. The subject of the book is an examination both of the position of non-state regulation of documentary credits in general, i.e. within the so-called lex mercatoria, and an examination from the position of national regulations. The authors have analysed both the legal environment in the Czech Republic in general and subsequently in relation to the mentioned non-state means, and towards the analysis of the use of UCP 600 in specific banking practise.
