Original language description
Gestalt therapy with its focus on the process of ongoing therapeutic relationship can contribute to both the theoretical understanding and the treatment of depression. The diagnosis of depression is explained as a relational fenomenon in this article. Depression is seen as a pathological fixation of an initially useful mechanism of creative depressive adjustment. Fixed interpersonal patterns of depression manifest in the therapist-client relationship and there are also accesable for exploration and possible changes.

Gestalt terapie svým zaměřením na probíhající proces terapeutického vztahu může přispět jak k teoretickému pochopení tak k léčbě deprese. V tomto článku je diagnóza deprese popsána jako vztahový fenomén. Deprese je zde prezentována jako patologická fixace původně užitečného mechanismu tvořivého přizpůsobení. Fixované interpersonální depresivní vzorce se projevují ve vztahu terapeut-klient a zde jsou také přístupné zkoumání a možné změně.
