Original language description
Since the fall of the Communist regime, Czech politics and society have, like other Eastern European countries, experienced an era of headlong development, during which the basic democratic institutions have been created and stabilized. This text analyzes the most important of these institutions and interactions among the collective actors - political parties, interest groups, and social movements. The text concludes with an evaluation of the main trends in Czech democracy after 1989, and the situationat present.
