I the text I offer the formulation of the framework for helping Romany parents to sustain their parentally functions. In the text I built on the interwiews with 20 experienced social worker the have been working with the Romany families longre than threeyears. While being aware that our research relied -only- upon the expertise, experiences and opinions of workers who are in professional contact with families of the type in question and therefore do not necessarily describe objectively the living conditions of socially excluded Roma families, I will now ponder the significance of the suggested conclusions for the potential of children from these families to integrate into the majority society. I also explore what this means for the formulation of goals and methodology of social work.
