State politics toward Church: Concordat with the Holy See
Original language description
The topic of State politics toward the Churches is a difficult proposition. This sort of politics plays the second role in a political research. This handicap naturally influences its advancement in the research, because in comparison with other policies, the Church policy in the Czech Republic is at the beginning. However, the theme of the relation between the State and the Churches does not lose the relevance because the Churches in the Czech Republic are the part of a public sector. The key problem in the relation state - Church is the problematic of concordat with the Holy See. The concordats are agreements between the Roman Catholic Church and a state. The Roman Catholic Church tries to make concordats with any state wherever and whenever this becomes politically possible. But the Czech Republic is the last State in Central Europe without a concordat with the Holy See.
