Development of personal therapeutic approach in beginning integrative therapists
Original language description
The presentation shows the preliminary results of longitudinal research and further develops the work of Řiháček, Danelová and Čermák (2012). The main focus is on the exploration of process and content aspects of Personal Therapeutic Approach developmentin beginning therapists-trainees of an integrative psychotherapy training. Repeated semi-structured interviews with four participants of the training were conducted. Interviews were based mostly on particular ways of work with clients and the therapist's own reflections. The data offers an opportunity to explore and provide a more complex understanding of Personal Therapeuthic Approach development. First grounded theory analysis results (work in progress) will be presented with regard to existing literature in the field, and suggestions for further research in this area will be proposed.
