Discursive strategies of anti-EU campaigning : evidence from the 2019 EP elections in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Original language description
The contribution investigates discursive strategies of anti-EU campaigning deployed by Eurosceptic political parties (both mainstream and fringe) during the 2019 European Parliament elections in two CEE EU member states: the Czech Republic and Slovakia. More specifically, the two central research questions that the article seeks to answer are: 1) Which discursive strategies and linguistic devices have been employed by Czech and Slovak Eurosceptic political parties during the 2019 EP elections campaign to voice their anti-EU sentiments? 2) How do these compare between the two countries?
