Measuring Clients’ Session Reactions in the Context of Routine Outcome Monitoring
Original language description
Objective: As is obvious from the term itself, routine outcome monitoring (ROM) is predominantly focused on the measurement of outcomes. Although adding psychotherapy process information has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of feedback, not many ROM systems have implemented process measures on a session-by-session basis. In this presentation, a Czech ROM system called DeePsy will be introduced. DeePsy allows psychotherapists to collect data on treatment outcomes (CORE-10, WHO-5), clients’ treatment preferences (C-NIP), and clients’ session reactions (SRS-3-B). The system then provides feedback based not only on the computed scores, but also on the individual items of all measures, which increases the amount of information clinicians can utilize. Method: Data from the SRS-3-B (7000+ cases) will be used to explore the predictive validity of clients’ reactions clinical utility using longitudinal network analysis. Results: Preliminary findings based on the longitudinal network analysis will be presented. Discussion: The clinical utility of receiving feedback on clients’ perception of the treatment process will be discussed.
