A Case Study of Countertransference of a Social Worker in Childcare Having Trouble Saying No
Original language description
OBJECTIVES: This text focuses on the specific level of interaction of a childcare social worker with clients, where said level is influenced by the social worker’s unresolved problems. THEORETICAL BASE: It uses an integrative model of countertransference and monitors the characteristics of countertransference sources, triggers, manifestations, consequences, and coping. METHODS: Methodologically, the text takes the form of a case study of an individual case, which is further structured internally. A deductive qualitative analysis was used for the analysis. OUTCOMES: The problem of saying no was identified as a result of those close to the childhood social worker not being sufficiently empathetic. SOCIAL WORK IMPLICATION: Social workers are advised to pay attention to self-experience.
