    Čerenkov effect with massive photons

  • Original language description

    Using the Schwinger source theory, and Proca equation for massive spin one particle, the power spectrum of photons is calculated. The equations of massive electrodynamics are derived and the power spectrum formula for the Čerenkov radiation of massive photons is found. It is argued that the massive Čerenkov effect can be observed in superconductive media, ionosphere plasma, waveguides, and in particle laboratories. Keywords Čerenkov effect, source theory, photons
