Original language description
Groundwater in Bangladesh is enriched in arsenic. Arsenic is released by reductive dissolution of ferric oxides and hydroxides. Concentrations of dissolved iron are influenced by precipitation of siderite and vivianite. Arsenic release mechanisms are discussed.

Czech description
Podzemní voda v Bangladéši je kontaminovaná arzenem. Arzen vstupuje do vody při reduktivním rozpouštění oxidů a hydroxidů železa. Koncentrace rozpuštěného železa jsou pak ovlivněny vysrážením sideritu a vivianitu. Jsou diskutovány mechanismy uvolňování arzenu.
